I'm a week away from firing up my weber'd 88... HELP!
Okay just a little winter overhaul... a few things got done...
EVERYTHING under-hood has been removed per AC/Emissions... from the rotted out 3 horns to the rotted hood latch... power steering is the only thing retained, however it would be convenient if it were on the other side of the car... anyone accomplished this? I'm trying to gain room for fuel and spark on the drivers side.
I picked up a pierce manifold wrap around to retain the oil injectors. I plan to get a conversion pump to run 2 stroke oil, Pennzoil runs in my '75 Yamaha DT250B; its proved its worth so its going in my car.
I have the Racing Beat True Dual Exhaust sitting in front of the car in my garage ready to go.
Lastly I need some parts... I need to convert it to a distributor style iginition (I'll only take the one with the ignitors mounted on it, but I only need one) with a crane cams Hi-6 and stock coil, from what I hear this is the best way to go. That and the distributor is all I have left to buy. -- I'm a step ahead, I have two leading, and two trailing coils, I plan to take atvantage of using the two leading coils to run the car.
First off I need someone to give me a starting point for jetting--- Just to make it to the tuning shop! It's about 20-30 miles away... (A Racing beat true duals, and 45 DCOE carb, and two stroke oil conversion)
Does or can anyone help me put and end to this project? For New England, we're just starting to get some sun. I'd like to be able to put this on the road!
I'm going to have to drop this in the street for a day, but have to get it running same-day. So I'm looking for all the advice I can get. Lastly and most importantly, how can/do I set the timing going from a CAS to a dizzy?
If anyones local, any help would really be appreciated! (Massachusetts)
Thanks in advance. I've got 3-4 weeks tops to get it to run turn-key.
