I'm undecided...should I ditch my East Bears and reconvert to pop ups?

Like someone said before, the CP Racing flushmounts look nice. But it does look like they require you to cut into the bumper. Here's a pic of them with the S5 front bumper.

I just like the ones with a solid piece of glass/lexan/plastic/whatever instead of the headlights themself sticking out.

They do require some cutting, contrary to the website. Nothing major though.

Tony, keep the EBs, they're what makes your car your car!

The stock ones are very aerodynamic when they are down, Which is most of the time (daylight is on average longer than night) so they are more aerodynamic when they are down. But when they are up they aren't as aerodynamic, but the eastbars are facing the wind all the time..

Tony, I love the pop-ups Just make sure you convert to true HID if/when you do go back to pop-ups.

Sheesh, you guys aren't making this easy. It's a toss up right now. Aside from myself, I have to say that Aaron knows my car the best, so your opinion matters. I'm leaning towards keeping them but If I do sell them I'll part them for $500 shipped. This Includes 2 sets of PIAA X-treme Whites (H3) and the stock set It came with. Strangely, my old pop ups were converted to open lense with these PIAA's (H4) In place. I've since sold them and fear that I have to go through that same process again - If I sell them.

My Opinion is that the EBs weigh less than the stock pop ups and so from a performance standpoint they are better. I also think that the pop up lights make or break the rx7 they are very tastefull stock and look right on the car. They don't set you apart from other sevens but remeber we are like a big family who does'nt want to look like a seven they are just so pretty. But losing the linkage and the motors would be a weight bonus.

I say pop-ups, but maybe you could have 4 round bulbs instead of two rectangles. Just a thought of what I may do some day.

Tony, I haven't seen your car in person yet but the only thing I don't like about the EBs is that they don't sit flush.

yea i knew that but the aerodynamics wont really matter during the day. most people choose to drive fast during night time.
