that weird hesitation you have is cause by the opening of your 5 and 6 ports

hey its you! well i guess you could be me even though we've never raced. acctualy its caused by your boost sensor (not to dog you drnated, i belive that sensor opens the ports) on the pass strut tower. most of the time its bad grounds, there's a writeup on here somewhere.

Most likely not, the ports wont open at 3500 exclusively. They open because of backpressure, and this will vary depending on load.

The boost sensor does not control the aux ports, only exhaust backpressure. The boost sensor DOES have something to do with the transition from 2 to 4 injector operation.

What the thread starter is probably feeling is a slight 3800 RPM hesitation then, full power of 4 injector operation.

If carbon monoxide is bothering you, check your exhaust for leaks. It's NOT normal to get tired from it while you drive. Plus this could be a good excuse for an aftermarket exhaust

It's my excuse : ) Racing Beat Non-Turbo Catback and Bonez Superflo Cat will be my choice (no header yet). My 87 still has the original exhaust on it (best I can tell). And it leaks something awful.

Liv, also, check your hatch seal around the window. If this in bad condition... your exhaust will suck right through it. Mine does this as well : )

Take Care,
Josh
