im a newbie to the rx7 world and have questions

i have an 88 turbo2 model
it needs a motor but not sure where i can get one for a good price?
the outside handle on the driver door does not work?
i want to get the car running by the end of summer i need a turbo, and i motor so please any info will be great. thanks guys

Go to rotaryresurrection.com, he can rebuild your engine.

bnr can rebuild your blown turbo. Or you can find a used one on ebay and have it rebuilt it you don't have on to start with.

Driver door handle: Remove the door panel. The hardest part is the crank if you have manual windows. There's a horseshoe metal clip in that thin space behind it that needs to be squeezed before the crank will come off. Otherwise if you force it off it'll break easy. The rest is just screws and snap-on/off tabs. You'll see a mechanism below the handle with some rods connected to it (one to the handle, one to the lock, etc.). That's probably the cause, though I suppose the handle itself might be broken. You could always push/pull the rod coming from the door handle and see if the latch opens. Get a replacement at a junk yard or other source.

slide a cloth inbetween the window crank and the door to get that clip off.
