Question Im A Newbie I Need Help!!!

I just got a an rx7 having no kind of background info on it really except that it used to run and its been a while since it was operatable. I just bought a new battery, spark plugs, and a starter. When i try to start it, it just makes a clicking noise until i stop...anyone have any suggestions or tips on what i should do next?

change/clean your terminal connectors on your battery.. that same thing happened to me on another car and it was because of horrible battery connectors.

Try turning the motor by hand with the trans in nuetral (manual) using a breaker bar or ratchet on the front pulley bolt. Rotaries turn real easy. You may even be able to grab the belts or pulley with your hands and get it to turn

Also check the starter solenoid to be sure that it is engaging. Also kind of sounds like the battery is being drained somehow as the clicking sound is usually associated with a dead or dying batt. I know you just replaced it.

make sure it's fully engaged in park or the clutch is all the way down, check your wiring to your starter.

That clicking is the starter solenoid, that means its either the starter(which is new) the battery(which is new), the solenoid connectors or the engine is siezed.

Hope this help.
