I'm hella bored
I have nothing to do today and want to do something with/to my car. I would drive it but I'm broke and don't wanna waste the gas. Any free things I can do to her besides clean her? haha
What you can do depends on what you have laying around, doesn't it?
Recently, while similarly bored (but at least sufficiently motivated to pick my own tasks...), I fixed some broken switch mounting studs in the front gauge bezel and also repaired the mounting recesses on the column surround trim.
Surely you have some little things that have been nagging at you but weren't pressing enough to actually do, don't you?
Given your location, it might behoove you to clean and apply Vaseline to all your door/hatch seals...helps avoid them freezing shut.

or try detailing it. shampoo and vacuum the carpets, degrease and shine the engine bay with dressing, clean the rims of all the dirt in the pockets, scrub the door jambs, dress the dash and center console. then add some air fresheners to cover up the gear oil smell from the transmission.
most people really only truly detail their car like once every 5 years.
wouldn't it be nice to actually get in the car and feel clean and new versus just having the exterior semi shiney?

When I am bored I put my car on jackstands and get under it, thoroughly checking for rust, exposed wires, scrapes/damage, any sort of leaks, loose nuts/bolts, worn bushings/mounts, etc... It's kind of relaxing, too. I've fallen asleep under my car a couple times before. Probably not a safe idea, though. But fixing random janky-*** things is always a good idea. You can prevent quite a bit. Install a pinion snubber or something...
I got my TII up on jack stands in the front. I got in to dick around with the stereo but then I dropped first made some two step noises and dropped the clutch and instantly I was doing a wheel stand.

when my 7 was actually running (Now it gets restored
) I did that every week or 2.It pissed me off, seeing how bad its condition actually was. Too much little rust spots, and digging underside ... Oh my. So I couldn't help myself and now I am doing a frame of restoration over the winter, yeah nice projet. Got a Haltech PS1K and waiting for the money to arrive so I can buy the tweakit ITBs
Now I have 3 cars and none running, well that sucks. I am getting flamed for that every day when I say something car related. ...
One classic car that gets restored since a few years, the 7 which is also getting restored and wont be driven in the winter again. My 309 daily driver which took a crap 2 weeks ago. lol
