I'm gboing crazy witht his idel problem.

Okay, so a month or two ago, my car started acting up all funny. found out it was my cat so i did the cheap fix and gutted it.

got the exaust all hooked back up and it ran beautifully.

then about 2 or so weeks ago, it stopped ideling and was doing the same thing. i reset my ecu and it ran fine just wouldn't idel.

Earlier today i found that my cat was actually barly hanging on. so i bolted it back up and tightened everything. now, it idels, for a bit but after i rev it up it goes, blu blu blu boooolluuuhh.. and dies...

Should i check and set my TPS?

if so would someone glady show me how to do that with pictures and a nice tutorial? I cannot figure out how to set it...

any other ideas you guys can think of?

any imput would be great.

Thanks, Dylan

oh yeah, it's a 1986 n/a... gx-l or what ever.

I have adjusted both stop screw, and screw on the BAC valve, it kind helped but how am i supposed to set them both if the car doesn't idel.

you have to get a multimeter and reset your tps..but first you have to get the car to normal op. temp...which mean's you will need a friend to keep the car alive. keep in mind that your tps might be bad, so that might need replacing..try resetting it first. after you reset the tps adjust the idle screw to where you need it to idle which will be around 750 r.p.m.

if none of this make's any sence to you get your self a haynes manuel to better understand this. or you can find the f.s.m. for free on here...

I got her ideling just fine now at about 800 rpm... but it should be fine,

I had to adjust the idle scre on the TB and then in the BAC and then set my TPS... totally worked... now she idels nicly, but i couldn';t get the cosmetic work done that i wanted too...

damn wankels lmao
