Pin 1R (LG/B wire) is the knock control unit on Turbos and the power steering pressure switch on NA's. If you're installing the Turbo knock control unit you'll need to cut the wire ~6" from the ECU connector and extend the connector side to where you've installed the knock control unit (which also needs power and ground connections). If you're not installing the knock control unit and you have power steering you'll need to cut the wire anyway, otherwise every time you turned the wheel the ECU would get what it thinks is a knock signal and retard the ignition timing.

Pin 2K (L/B wire) is the twin-scroll solenoid valve on turbos and the split air solenoid valve on NA's. If you're keeping the twin-scroll control system operative you'll need to connect the split air solenoid valve connector to the twin-scroll solenoid valve. If you're not keeping the system operative you can leave it disconnected.

You'll also need to extend the BAC valve wires to suit the different location.

And the NZ assumes your going to buy a turbo ECU, afm and boost sensor to go with it. He assumes too much.

Well he did specifically ask only about the harness.

The BAC valve controls idle speed. On NA manifolds it on the left side and on Turbos it's on the right, so the wires need extending.

Bypass Air Control Valve. It helps maintain an idle. If you put a load on the engine at idle, like turn the headlights on and step on the brake pedal, the engine would normaly drop in revs at idle. The BAC keeps the idle steady during these types of loads.

If you put a turbo and turbo transmission in the non turbo car, if memory serves, the transmission mount needs changing also. BUT you might get that transmission mount with the engine/transmission you buy.

And if you use a turbo transmission, you need a special driveshaft to mate to the turbo transmission and the na rearend. Local driveshaft shop might do it or Mazdatrix might be kind enough to sell you one of theirs.

well i do want a rear, I plan on buying everything, making my plan, and then when i got it all putting everything in at once. I got the basic gist of what i need, for instance the engine trans diff driveshaft and halfshafts. the only part i think i am hazy on is what wiring issues i will come across if i use for instance a jdm ecu with my stock harness. will the turbo ecu plug into an na harness?
