Angry Illegally Towed, Need Bumper.

I have an 87 model RX7, Had almost had it ready for paint after rebuilding the motor and getting all the body work done. Then it was illegally towed, they ripped off the front Bumper which was all aftermarket. Busted the ignition switch, and a few other things. I have the car back now, but after all this I almost don't have it in me to go back through putting it all back together again. So I was thinking of just going back to the factory front bumper for now. I have checked all over my area junkyards with no luck. If anyone has a bumper they want to part with just shoot me a PM with a price and will go from there.

If it really was illegally towed wouldnt you think to make them pay for the damage? Get a lawyer? I hope you have pictures before the damage and snap some after the damage was done.

Wait... details? Why was it towed, why was it illegal, and why aren't they paying to fix the damages?

This peaked my interest lol.

+1 to suing the towing company for damages. They're supposed to move vehicles, not destroy in the process (Hence why towing companies generally don't tow expired registered vehicles). When I get back from my business trip, I'll see if my parts car has a salvageable bumper.

I had my old rx7 towed for being "abandoned" due to having expired tags, and when i got it back from them the coolant seals were blown.

Who knows if they were the ones who messed it up, but it's pretty ironic that it was fine before it was towed.

I'd have no way to prove they messed it up, or that it was fine before it was towed...but i will always wonder , if they were being jerks and revving my car up and overheated it to the point where it blew out my seals...i had to end up selling my car after for 300 bucks, 25,000 miles after being rebuilt.

Alot of the guys who tow cars have no respect for the car, or the cars owner. I don't have much respect for people who ruin peoples cars in the process of towing/impounding it, just because no one is watching them doesn't mean they shouldn't suffer any consequences, and even if someone is watching stupid mistakes do happen due to lack of intelligence, karmas a bitch and one day they'll have worse happen to them.
