ignition wire (sorta confused after searching)
in both my S4 N/A and TII's my ignition have the black with white stripe wire directly on the ignition. my plan is to run my AEM TRU-boost,EGT,wideband AND haltech all from this wire. but i wasnt sure if thats the correct wire i need? i am going to splice, solder and heatshrink it and run a complete seperate wire from this source over to the driverside of the car for all these acc. listed. i cant use the ACC wire since the haltech needs volts during cranking. i searched and wasnt clear if the black wire with a white stripe was the correct one?
could somone shed some lite on this for me?
after looking in my haynes and searching here this is what i come up with.

Nearly every black/yellow wire in the cabin and engne bay is IGN 12V.
However you plan to run all these devices from that wire is not the greatest unless you are just using that wire as a "turn on" signal.
If you are intending to actually power the Haltech, Wideband, etc. from that wire, do it properly and use the IGN signal to switch a series of fused relays to power you devices.

haltech is powered directly from battery. i was planning on using it to run the wideband and running the ignition wire for the haltech to it.
*edit* so your saying i should only use this wire for turn on purposes (relay) and run a wire straight from battery (fused) to run my wideband, boost controller and EGT?

You shouldn't power devices directly from the IGN wire. Mainly because it's difficult to fuse them properly and in general tapping into existing circuits is evil. The IGN wire should just be used as a switched 12V source to turn on a relay, which is what will provide power (from the fuse box) to your device.
Switching the Haltech is fine, since it's just a bunch of relays anyway.
