You got your Crane Cams HI-6 from SummitRacing or Jeg's. I have one in each car. Frankly I think for me, and I'm only speaking for me, I frittered away some bucks there. I think those outfits are for folk who run three to four hundred hp and race. For a basic stock car, I think the stock ignition is more than adequate.

Again just IMHO, the money would be better spent on a Wideband and a SAFC. Much better return for the money. Much.

For $200 or less, a CDI box is one of the best bang-for-the-buck mods for your ignition system.

http://fc3spro.com/TECH/MODS/IGN/cdi.htm

Others will complain that a CDI box didn't do jack for them, but my experiences show otherwise.

Just get one box and install it on the leadings.
This will give you the best performance results, as doing the trailings is more expensive and not necessary unless you shooting for 500hp.

The S-AFC is over $200 brand new from and authorized A'PEXi dealer, and a wide-band is going to cost you at least $300 more...

My Jacob's gave me better mileage, smoother revs, and a more solid idle. I thought it was worth it.

I have a jacobs and I thought it made a nice improvement. Especially in the higher revs

I was pleased with my Jacobs pro pak initially. I found it to be inadequate at 19psi 101/91 octane fuel with a little ign breakup on the top end. I'm gonna give the AEM C2Di a shot to see how it does (it's a CDI for all four plugs and not just the leading).

For a moderately modified T2 though, I felt the jacobs did a great job.
