Not sure what you are asking about a LS1, LT1 or anything, as this is the 2nd gen technical section, and not the other engine converstions section that covers mutant vehicles.

As far as the ignition

The stock coils are generally better than most aftermarket units, however if you are experincing problems (that would show up in dyno runs) you would want to use a CDI system as they will help the high RPM spark break up that can occur at around 6500 up.

And I aksed this of you the last time you posted a questions like this, Is there a reason you are convinced that you need an improvement??? Or is it just from reading car mags???

You'll never run an LS1/LT1 coil off the stock ECU without a lot of effort. Not worth it at all.

correct.

fc coils and an fc1000 on the leading were my first choice, but the fd engine bay is too cramped to make a nice neat job of them.

so the vette coils have great spark, but aren't as bulky as the fc's... also, msd is making plug-in replacement coils for the vettes. i'll grab 2 of those and use them on the leading. that should give me the best of both worlds.
