Ignition Timing
Check the FSM or a haynes. I think the only thing that confused me before actually doing it was when people were talking about turning the CAS. I thought that it was a bolt in the sensor that you twist, but i was wrong.
The actual pedestal that you see sticking out of the engine, turns by hand. Loosen the bolt that holds the CAS pedestal in place, and then you can turn it. Really damn easy.
make sure you short out the green jumper before you do an adjustment. It assures that the timing is not changed by the ECU when you adjust it.

you should (technicaly) jump the set coupler, but meh...
hookup the light lead to the first lower spark plug, aim and shoot at the main pulley, You'll be able to see (probably faintly painted after 20 years...) marks on the pulley when the strobe shoots.
The is a needle on the driverish side of the main pulley, when the (i think white) mark is in line with the needle, you're at 0degrees. To advance, turn the CAS clockwise, retard counterclockwise.

Dont teach him to advance! he's just gonna come back with problems! lol,
dude, leave it at 0degrees, that means right on the money if you want your car to run right. Advance/retard only when your sure you know what your doing.
I couldn't see the goddamn marks, well I could see them but I could not determin weather one was yellow or white. What I did was match up the line with the needle on the first spark plug connector. When I checked each other spark plug wire with the light, there was always a mark lining up with the needle. Color, I do not know, but all 4 wires that I timed, matched up in sync. Im assuming that the timing was perfect?

Actually, the only thing Jumpering ISC disables is the BAC if I remember correctly.. It is not necessary for setting timing..
