Question RE Internals in a S4 TII rebuild

Are there any benifits to using RE Cosmo housings and rotors in a S4,TII rebuild? Any response will be appriciated.

you would probablly be worse off because the exhaust ports use the deflector that some n/a engines use for low end torque, they kinda suck. as for the rotors, they would be the same except for the springs behind the corner seal there bigger like the third gen ones, are you using the irons and bearings too? that would be a bonus!

What the **** are you talking about?

The exhaust ports in an RE are just like the t2's and fd's...smoothport. the 86-91 nonturbos are the only rotary to use the diffuser in the exhaust.

The rotors are lighter weight than the 87-88 t2's.

The rotors are 9.0:1 comp ratio versus the 8.5:1 found in teh s4 t2...most prefer lower compression for safety under higher boost.

You can't use the irons or front cover from the RE motor, the intake and motor mounts are different.

hey kev, when he's that blatantley unknowledgable about the internals, save your breath and just call him a mistaken idiot. We'll see your name, your response, nod our heads and be done with it. See you typed all of that out for nothing

You need the counterweight / flywheel from the Cosmo 13B or Kouki 13B or FD engine...
