Ignition Switch Help Needed

Hi All,
I recently purchased an 87 FC. The ignition switch has all of the wiring disconnected. There are some connectors under the steering column that look like they would fit the connectors on the ends of the ignition wiring but not all the wire colors match up.
How can I figure out how to reconnect the ignition switch to the rest of the wiring?
Thanks in advance.

There should be four plugs connected to the switch. One plug has four wires while another plug has just a single wire (Black/Red wire). The other two plugs have two wires each. One two wire plug has Black and Black/White wires and the other plug has a Blue wire and a Black/Red wire.

Yes, that sounds right.
But-
where is the connector that the single Black/Red wire to connect to?
Should the wire colors be exactly the same on the other corresponding connectors un der the dash that these ignition conecctors "connect" to?

The plug with the single Black/Red wire comes from the Interlock Switch located on top of the clutch pedal. This switch has two wires conected to it. B/R and B/G wires. This B/R wire is the one which connects to the ignition switch pigtail.

not to complicate things but my clutch has 2 switches?
The inhibitor switch that has 2 small wires 18 awg or so AND an interlock switch that connects to the large B/R 12 gauge wire from the ignition?

The Inhibitor switch is found on cars with auto transmissions. The switch that you have at the bottom would be the Clutch switch which is for the cruise control.

The switch the scrwews into the clutch assembly just like the brake pedal assembly is for cruise control? Where is the interlock switch then located as I dont seem to have one...

Do you have to press down on the clutch to start the car or not?

The car does not run yet. This is the last part of the wiring I need to do.
I have the little rectangular switch that screws into the clutch assembly that when you push the clutch down, it pushes in the little plunger on that switch. That is the switch that has 2 small wires, 18awg or so coming out of it.

I dont have anything on the clucth pedal area that has a thick b/r wire...

If it were on the clutch it would be at the top of it and not the bottom. The switch might have been removed. All it does on your car is it prevents the voltage present on the B/R wire with key to start from getting to the starter when the clutch is not depressed. If this switch was removed then the B/R wire from the ignition switch would run to the Starter Cut relay located next to the Main relay.

The clutch switch related to the cruise control has wires to it. I think they are Black/Yellow and either Yellow or Yellow/Blue.

ok thanks.
So, since the b/r wire connector on the ignition switch is unconnected, I need to run this to the starter cut relay OR just find the other end of the b/r wire under the dash where it was cut and connect it?

Not sure of your exact wiring situation. There is a foot long harness that connects to the back of the ignition switch. This harness runs down the side of the steering column to connect to other plugs. Do you have this pigtail harness or not. If you do and there is no B/R wire for the single wire ignition plug then run a wire from the pigtail to the Starter Cut relay where it would pass voltage onto the B/W wire when starting the car. The B/W wire runs to the starter solenoid.

Satch, one more question before you go medevil on me
I found this on the floor of the car is this the interlock switch?
What is the easiest way for me to bypass it?

To bypass the interlock switch you either jumper the two wires in the plug which connects to the switch or as stated earlier you would run the B/R wire from the single ignition plug to the Starter Cut relay where it passes voltage onto the B/W wire when the car engine is turned over.
