Ignition question
Ignore the above...
You won't do any engine damage, but you'll be severely down on power due to only partial combustion taking place. Running like this for will quickly damage the cat convertor if you have one.

There's absolutely no need to add any extra grounds to the coils; they are grounded directly to the chassis through the ignitor body. The most you need to do is clean those mounting points.

I meant to ground the test connector when i was checking my timing and I saw the black wire coming off the primary coil and i was just sort of like yeah thats it and grounded it to the body and as soon as I did I was like crap the test connector is green. Woe and behold no spark from the primary coil. It s the black connector that is used to check idle speed apparently. supposed to put a tach on to it or what not.
you could make it better as a short term quick fix by connecting the trialing coild plug wires in the leading position and advancing the CAS. Be really carefull if this is a turbo, keep it out of boost.

So anyone reading this if you don't know what the hell it is research it. After messing up my coil I looked up the black wire and found out what it was for! Search is not only a good way to clean up the forums its a good way to protect your car!
