Ignition Controlled + Wire

I am an electrical idiot. No other way to put it.

Could someone please tell me the easiest wire to locate and to tap for my electrical guages?

I will need color and location.

The other wires are done. Just need this now.

Thanx

Michael

Since you haven't told us, I'm assuming you want a wire for illumination? You want to tap into the dimming illumination circuit, and the easiest place is the cirgarette lighter. It's a red wire with a green stripe.

EDIT: Oops, just reread title. Perhaps you should've put that info into the actual post...

Just about every switch in the cabin has switched 12V. There are literally dozens you could use, depending on where you you put the gauges. Grab a test light and look for a wire that's hot only with the ignition on.
