If the stock BOV leaks boost...

Am I correct in thinking that would make me run rich? I recently removed the airpump and made a 2.5" TID. I decided to vent the BOV to the atmosphere with a good check valve. I had someone rev the car and noticed it was blowing off as the revs climbed. Not a huge blow off, but it was definatly leaking boost. Then when the revs dropped, of course it blew off much more like it should. Of course leaked boost = bad, so I'll be replacing it with an aftermarket BOV. So this would cause me to run rather rich, right?

Yes.
Boost leak = false high AFM signal.
