If I put race fuel in my car is the only thing i have to do...?

If I wanted to put race fuel in my car is the only thing i have to do is remove all converters/catalysts/admission accessories? For example, if i had the corksport power series header back exhaust system which includes a header, race pipe and catback, replaces main catalyst and pre converters, could i simply put race fuel into my car and run it with no issues? I would probably want to burn all the regular fuel out too beforehand. (For further information, I have a 1991 rx7 couple na)

So why are you going to put race fuel in your car? You don't actually think you'll be faster do you? Do you understand how fuel works?

The only thing you have to do is.... Reduce the Octane rating

Seriously. Don't do it. Your car neeeeeeeds Regular [87] to run its best. [Even the stock Turbo FCs use Regular 87 octane gas: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/noframes/7488.shtml ]

Unless there's a reason you *have to* run race gas, don't. ^_^ [If there is a reason you have to, yes you can put it in the tank and run without changing anything.. But your power and fuel economy will suffer]

https://www.rx7club.com/time-slips-dyno-128/172rwhp-s4-all-motor-throwback-dynosheet-907166/#post10041083 that's about as much power as you're going to realistically get on a non turbo s4 engine. And that was done with 87 octane.

I have run leaded 110 octane before but that was at 21psi boost on my T2

"race fuel" is simply higher octane. octane is the fuels resistance to burn, higher number more resistant. in high compression, trurbo, supercharged cars dont want the fuel to ignite before full compression of the rotor/piston, so they must use the "race fuel" you speak of.

HIGHER OCTANE GAS IS TO PREVENT PREDETONATION. I seriously cant stand people thinking higher is better, in most cases its not.

It's already been said, but race gas is a complete waste in your NA - as is premium pump gas even. These cars run rich enough that there is no risk of pre-detonation at all on pump gas, even with higher compression RX-8 rotors, and race gas is just higher octane to resist detonation in high-compression or high boost engines.
