Idle surges and PS or AC causes engine to die
Idle surges and PS or AC causes engine to die
I think it's a problem with my automatic tranny, if I have the car in L or S (1/2nd) it'll do it 90% of the time in parking lots, in D it'll do it in parking lots normally too.
Just hardly holding foot on gas stops it, otherwise it's a clunky surge.
Also whenever AC or PS is on and going very slow, car will just shut off, I cranked her back over was at 800rpm like normal then started going 200-300, now it's been 4 months since I've driven my FC but I started her time to time, put oil in the chambers to keep the seals fresh, she was very STRONG till I brought her home, maybe she was sad?
nah it's always done the surging and dying, any tips on what to look for I thank you, I'm sure it's something with the gayomatic tranny and nobody here cares for them so I'll probably have to live with it

My belt light is still on after going to the dealer yeah, it goes on and off but the belts are 99% of the time working fine.
My batt was a tad weak but it has happened for atleast 8 years or more always. The PS/AC also has always killed the car, my car idles right at the right speed I forget what it is now but we got it to idle good, ususally it doesnt even die it goes 200-300 rpm and comes back up.
My dad said years ago its whatever raises the rpms when the a/c or powersteering is on doesnt kick up the rpms high enough
