Idle Still Of A Little

Idle Still Of A Little
Ok so, recently i changed my spark plugs because they were old as hell, while taking the wires off i noticed, wow these wires are old as **** too. so ive changed the plugs and the wires, but i did have to drive with new plugs on the old wires for a few days and the idle was really rough,(the wires were so old that when i took them off they wouldnt click back on to the plugs properly), while i waited to get my new wires in the mail. got the new wires this morning put them in, the idle seems to be a little better but still kinda rough.
My question is, with all the old crap in the car it seemed to idle well but it was lagging a bit uptop, now its idling crappier but i noticed a huge difference 5K RPM and up, lots faster, is there anything else i can do to tune my car to ilde better, keep in mind that it was idling pretty damn good before i started changing stuff. thanks
Also, is it possable i screwed the new plugs by running them on old car wires?
