idle is speratic, 87 t2, emissions removed
well, friend came over today with his 87 t2, the thing is fricken messed, i pull of the vacume line to the presure sensor, the idle smoothens out, but is very high. figure this is gone, so i take the one off my car, which i know works, and same prob. then i take off every vac line hooked to the pressure sensor(bov and boost gauge). seems to have helped the idle. then all of a sudden after eliminating bov and boost as a prob, the idle is rough no matter what. we monkey'd with the dashpot, throttle cables, and tps(as much as you can without a multimeter) and had no luck, he does have a vac leak which i think is a bad uim/lim gasket.
what are some of the symptoms of a tps gone wild.
thanks

grab some carb cleaner and spray it around the LIM - Block gasket....see if the idle smooths out. in fact, spray it around any place where there could be a vaccum leak. systematically test the different points. but before you move to the next point, make sure that the idle returns to the "normal" crappy state...
That was the issue with my filthy idle.

first thing i tried, doesnt do squat.. when i say speratic, i mean within 15-30 sec of idle it will jump up and down 500rpm. also, its like chasing a rat in a field, you think your close, then it seems to be at a completely different spot!
