first of all, thanks for the help.

question: with the motor running, is the alternator pulley suppose to spin with the belt OFF and it only rotate when the belt is attached? Or does the spin either way? Reason being, im trying to do the s6 alternator swap into my s4 and im not sure what is wrong. Ive searched and already done the wiring difference and i got the higgy pulley but still nothing. I did notice that the pulley isnt quite long enough to spin the alternator so i might need to do some type of alteration or am i missing a piece like a washer....dont know and confused. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

 

Are you saying the alternator pulley is spinning with no belt on it?

 

its not spinning...which i now assume is normal then...right?
