e6x haltech.

Not sure where or How many turns out on the idle screw would be a good place to start with.

Seems to be no stock setting on this screw in the fsm.

Since you've gone standalone, you've more than likely eliminated the thermowax and BAC valve. Idle is now going to be very low cold, and very high warm. Start the car and see if it idles. If it catches then sputters out, it's too low and you'll have to turn the screw in. You can probably get it to idle as low as 600rpm COLD. As it warms up, the idle will rise. To make it easy, you can crank it in all the way and just see what it idles at (should start easier) and adjust from there.

Cool. Sounds like I have it in the right spot then. Thanks.

It's at about 600 cold and 1050 warm

Actually I got to idle fairly well.

No I've run into a new problem.

My timing light won't pick up signal through these msd wires .

Any suggestions

You should use the BAC. No reason to eliminate it. It will allow you to have it NOT idle low when cold and then high when warm. The Haltech will control the BAC. Reinstall it, wire it up, and then re-ask the question.
