Idle Problems=*(
Well, ever since I started tinkering (and when I say tinkering, I mean modifying) my RX, my idle has been screwy as hell. When it's just idling, it'll go from anywhere between 900 rpms to 500 rpms and never set still. Ever since my smog pump has been disconnected from my air box (put a k&n style filter on) it's been idling a little bit better, but not much. I'm not sure if it's not getting enough fuel, or not getting enough air or what. Could someone help me out here?

i havnt fiddled with the TPS or any idle things yet, im waiting for warmer weather before i get outside. Hopefully we will all figure it out sooner or later!

I am having some idle problems with my 1988 Turbo II, and I am currently in the same boat as everyone else... Having some idle problems. Ill let everyone know if I figure out what the problem is.
Im going to be messing with the TPS this weekend if I can't figure it out before hand.
I just bought the car, and the guy said he replaced plug wires/plugs /fuel filter /o2 sensor and all that crap, but it looks like he's full of it, so I bought another round of stuff and im going to replace it tonight...

make sure you take a good look at the TPS connector spades while you're checking it out- I got rid of the corroded terminals & respliced the wiring- fixed the idle prob

Well, I do know that I've NEVER messed with my throttle body or anything. I've never even had my intercooler off to look at it. I got to thinkin that maybe I had bad injectors ya know. Maybe gettin too much air, not enough fuel, then having to compensate. Or maybe a bad ground or something like that...then again, I have hardly no clue about the wiring system, much less the fuel delivery system. If anyone figures out what it may be, it'd be great if you could let all of us know.

the TPS connector (on the N/A, anyway, I don't know about the turbo) is about 6" down the harness from the TPS... Not only were my spades corroded (inside the connector) but the wiring was corroded about 1/2 inch up the harness (greenish colored copper corrosion)... Since the TPS signal is a very small voltage to begin with, any corrosion acts as a resistor, throwing off the signal
