After my car warms up, which the idle doesnt bounce around anymore, the idle stays up above 1400 rpms and doesnt go down to the idle I have set unless I rev the engine a little hard, over 4000 rpms. After I rev up a little hard, the idle goes to 750-800 to where I have it set and it stays there. I dont think I have a vacuum leak becuse if there was, wouldnt the idle go back up higher? What causes the sustained high idle after warmup if Im able to get it to my set idle?

 

Sticky throttle cable?


Edit: when its idling high, stick your foot under the gas pedal and pull up and see if it lowers.
