Woah there barkz, no need to get nasty. First of all it looks a lot like a fuel pressure regulator, second off I have the right to question, sometimes there's bad info. It doesn't look like any egr valve I've ever seen. I appreciate the info and help everyone. Can someone look at the pictures and tell me that's what the egr looks like?

Link in post #4 has a pic of the EGR. Post #6 indicates the position of the EGR. Your pics do not suggest an EGR. The EGR will not have wires connected to it directly but only vacuum hoses. The wires you described are for the solenoid which controls the vacuum to the EGR.
