Angry Idiots

This morning I was sitting around on my computer chilling out and looking up rx7 crap. All of the sudden I hear this load crunch. Some Idiot in a Ford f150 pulled into my driveway backed up to turn around and smashed the front fender and bumber that I just repainted of my 88 convert. He dented the hood moved the hinges pushed over my headlight. Ohh and get this the bastard just drove off like nothing happened. I had to run after him and write his license plate down. What a jerk. Anyways I will find out if its totaled or not in a day or two. Cant people just watch where they are driving. I know it happens but I would at least like to be in the car when it does.

Yea I work in the claims dept at a leading insurance company... this **** happens all the time. You are lucky actually. At least you got a tag #. Most people don't get anything. Police will find him though.

Yeah the police should find him. And when they do you get to take him to court and pursue damages! Insured or not, he's screwed now.

That ******* sucks, press charges and get money to cover the money you spent on the repaint if at all possible. I've had people knock off my driver's side mirrors TWICE, without them leaving anything behind. Can't people be considerate enough to leave a number or anything if they mess up somebodies car? It boggles my mind...

Doesn't Michigan have some kind of weird deal on car insurance? LIke, no matter whos fault it is, you pay for the damage to your own car?

Don't feel too bad. My cousin ran my 88 vert into the back of a Lexus last weekend. That's the fourth car of mine that he has totalled. He has no money, so I have to pay to fix it out of my own pocket.

Man, why do you let your cousin even near a car of yours?

I didn't. He took it without asking first. He had a bad rim/tire on his GSL.

Ummm, the fourth car your cousin wrecked? Doesn't have money to pay for it? Wow. That's got to be the most irresponsible conduct I've ever heard of. How could he borrow a car, knowing he didn't have money to pay to fix it. Doesn't he have insurance?

I'd move and not tell him where I was going. Or, at a minimum, would get a Club for the car and always keep it on.

I hate those mada ****** !

hope you find the bastard.

I was in a hit and run(rear-ended), and I have been w/o my car for 3 weeks, getting it next week, I hope.

I got his tag number and the police found him, and impounded his car.

According to the police report he was driving w/o a license(suspended, must be a moron), and he has no insurance.

He was a black basketball player, call a shamika in da 'hood to make belief he had insurance. The cop was also black... so he didn't write "hit & run" on the report (so he kinds saved his ***). I am white, and if the roles would have been reverse they would of fucked me up real good.

the idiots !

Well the police up here are taking there good ol time with this just as I thought they would. Yea we do have no fault but that is only when your both driving. The other insurance company has to pay all the bills if the suspect is found guilty of a hit and run. Im hoping they do find him. I cant see why they wouldnt they have the plate number. I was also wondering if any of you know where I can pick up the RE Amemiya front end for cheap or one that is really similar.

Unless u got extremely good hook ups, i dont think u'r going to find an re amemiya headlight kit anywhere for cheap, the only price ive seen is around $2600 and that was on rx7.com, but im assuming u already went to that website.

Basically what you need to do is take his plate # to the DMV, and get his address yourself. Im pretty sure it can be done for a small fee, I know you can here. Go there, **** up his car, then point out to the police that you did all the detective work of finding him. I mean **** it cant be that hard. Im sure all they did was swing by his house, and if he wasnt there, then they forgot. When my dads car got stolen my mom found it on the way to dropping my brothers off at the babysitter. It had been gone for like a week, and she said a cop drove right by it! She had to turn around and stop him. Cops are ******* reatrded, thats why you can get in deep **** with your car, donuts etc., hide, and drive by one an hour later. Theyll forget to be on the lookout for a blah blah blah sportscar with a flaming tailpipe. I hope all this ranting made sense.
