I don't know of any for the second gen.. there is a guy who makes them for the third gen, maybe he could make one for us to. I'll have to ask my buddy where he got his.

Last night, as I was trying to get to sleep. I was thinkin' about ways to fab one up for our cars and I think I've come up with a good plan to make it out of Glass or CF. (this is the reason i don't get enough sleep, everytime i go to bed, i start thinking about wrenching on my car)

But its going to be a little while before i can do it, cause i aint got no heat in my garage. The resins like temperatures in the 70's to properly set up.

Don't you think keeping the warning lights functional would be smarter? Low oil, low coolant, low charge, etc. Without them a broken fan belt or hose could really ruin your day...

That won't help if you break a belt or split a pipe while driving. Why wouldn't you trust them?

like mine even really work anyway. Depending on which direction I turn my seatbelt light is on or my washer fluid is low.

If he takes out the idiot lights and puts in enough gauges it'll be fine, i'd love to lose min in favor of some gauges, along with a din gauge pod. Six gauges could monitor the engine better than the lights

If you turn a corner when the fluid's low, the float drops. It means you need to refill it. It's not rocket science.

And you have a faulty seatbelt switch, easily fixed or bypassed. I'd hope you don't need a light to tell you to put your belt on anyway...

Think out of the box guys relocate the light cluster to the area under the radio and use the guage pod for your guages that you normally look at instead of things like fuel, exhauste overheat, seatbelts. If you are any sort of a good motorist you do weekly checks of fluids and belts/hoses. If you have a developing leak you should see it ahead of time or notice it during weekly inspections.

I guess repeating myself over and over just doesn't work.

Relocating the lights wasn't a bad idea though.

Well by relocating the lights you will maintain the function of all the lights comming on when a belt snaps so the relocation will fix that little problem since it will still make all the lights come on.
