Identify nipple on S5 turbo keg.

Hi all,
Starting to get things ready to put the car back together and found something I'm not sure about. There is a nipple on the top of the engine right where the filler next comes and attaches. Where does this hook up to? I looked and it is on my N/A motor and had a hose coming out that seemed like it would go to the UIM.....but I didn't see anywhere it would hook to unless it is vacuum (I was under the assumption it was oil, but I don't have a clue). Just trying to get my mind back in order so putting everything back goes as smoothly as possible. Thanks for the help in advance.

It's for the PCV system.

You can cap it off, but then you'll have gunk build up in the oil filler neck. I've seen it routed to a catch can as well.

You need to have either that nipple capped off, or the nipple on the "iron" right next to the filler neck that goes to the evap canister capped off. One or the other. Not both.

The proper way would be the run a catchcan. The nipple on the iron gets fresh METERED air. Then the nipple on the filler goes to the catch-can. From the catch-can, you run a pcv valve up into the intake manifold....
