Question Identification of Vacuum Lines Near AFM

First Post - Really enjoy learning from this club.

On my 90 T2, there are two vacuum lines that plug into the boot leading from the mass air flow meter to the turbo. They are on top of each other and plug into the boot using metal connectors. From there they enter the spider's web of metal vacuum lines.

Can you tell me which system(s) the lines are for? Do they need to be connected or can I plug them?

Just went to a T04b setup.

Thanks

Welcome

I know S4s better, but I'll bet one of them is the crankcase vent. You need that. The only only other thing plumbed into my S4 is the BOV.

Have you checked the FSM? I don't have the S5 on my HDD.

Cheers
