Just do like i did on my T2. I got some s5 tails and then my step-dad fiberglassed some taillight covers for me so all you can see is the two circle lights. i even had him change that tacky long rectangle reverse light into a small circle. so now im left with a pretty stylish rearend, kinda like a skyline....beautiful. you get a nice exterior mod without changing the integrity of the fc. youre not trying to mold anything at all and most importantly it doesnt look ricey and its really cheap to do!
Got any pictures?

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! you just spent $100s of dollars and lord knows how many man hors to end up with PAINTEd STOCK S5 TAILS!!!!

if you gota mold in new tails at least do somethinf that looks
different.

and i have never realy understood the fascination with supra tails either. sure its argualby the best japanese car built, but that doest atomaticaly mean its got the best tail lights people.

when people mold in lights from "better" cars that look like crap that they are unhappy with their car but dont have the $$$ so they just figure "well if i cant have a supra at leat i can have supra tails!!!"

im not saying there arent some good options out there to make a unique look, but you can look outside of other sports cars for them.

Swapping tail lights = very 1996 ricer. stick with S5 lights, don't ruin the car.

God, why do people so this?? Every car I've seen so far with different taillights looks like CRAP.
The one in the pic above wouldn't look so bad if the lights were a little bigger, and u a bit higher... but then, lo and behold, you would have STOCK lights!!
Stick with stock.

Skyline lights are what I keep thinking too ... most other lights are too small to fill that area right.

That would be cool, but I think they might look too small. I think they'd be more at home on a FD.

IMHO R32 lights would look great pained purple, R32s On ebay But R34s would look good too R34s on ebay. The R33s look too mugh like Accord Altezzas to me.

I vote for miata lights. They are very similar to S5 tails but a little sleeker. Bet they'd look good and fairly close to stock.

When someone said replace the tails, I immediately thought of R34 Skyline tails.
Bigs and smalls are where it's at.

But while I was thinking about it it... What's to stop someone from extending the lines of the vehicle up and back, in a fin, and using 59 Cadillac Eldorado tails? Would be very retromodern looking, if done right.
That might make the car have too much of a 50s/60s look to it, though. Could be beautiful....

definitely always best to leave them stock? I disagree, some cars dont have the best stock lights, and aftermarket ones are good (at times)... but when it comes to the FC, yah i'd say stock rocks, specially s5

skyline or miata lights might be OK, but i'd have to see it first to be sure.. between the two i'd say skyline is the best choice

I think what makes that car so heinous is the spoiler... I don't think it would look half as bad if it wasn't so ballooned in the back.

Yea Tony, I was thinking R34 lights ... seems to obvious though. Now I need to find some measurements for them.
