Can anyone ID this part? What is the **** for?

should be cliped on the emission rack

 

Emissions rack being all the metal vacuum lines that run over the block? If so, just pull it and cap it if I'm not keeping emissions?

 

there should be more than one of thsoe. what kind of 7 are u driving

 

if you do a search on removing emissions you will probley find alot of stuff on it.

 

I just bought it, an 87 turbo 2. I've driven an NA for 5 years so I finally jumped to the turbo 2. I'm pulling the motor (blown) and removing emissions. The car has no smog pump but an ACV and I'm not sure if/what else was pulled.

 

well you order block off plates and take all that crap off over the turbo. then you have to re do some lines under the UIM here try this link https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=112251

 

That's the twin scroll's switching solenoid on a seried four.
