I went to install my radio, I saw smoke!

My car wont start now, and you see no power from the battery. Everythings off, and the batteries of descent power level. Did i blow a fuse or worse, destroyed the ecu? What did i do?? :smiley_12

"did i blow a fuse?" you should check then anyways, i'm sorry to hear/read that. but i doubt you're going to fry your ECU just because you installed a radio wire wrong, that's what the fuses are for, to protect your circuits from shorting.

you could have fried switches or something. I fried a headlight switch due to my hackjob gauge install in the radio area

Ooooooo. You better hope that it wasn't the Magic Smoke, because these things run on Magic Smoke and once you let it out you can never put it back in...

Seriously, check all the fuses and please, next time you are working on your car take the negative battery terminal off while you work.
