Engine speed to vehicle speed P/S change

So when my I bought my 89 GTU, it did not have P/S or A/C. I never got a chance to see how P/S is really hooked up on an rx7. Now that I have a JDM Tii swap done in my car, I was thinking of putting in the P/S pump that it came with. I was wondering if this was possible, if so.. here are some pictures and maybe someone can help me out, especially from an electrical point of view.

JDM Tii vehicle speed P/S (sadly two of the hoses are cut)

1989 GTU (used to have an engine speed P/S)

Now, I just assume that #1 from the P/S pump goes on #2 line on my car;
#2 from the P/S pump I have NO clue where it goes...
#3 from the P/S pump probably goes to #1 line on my car.

I know that red wire #1 is the P/S switch, which I have no clue where it goes, and I definitely have no idea where the other 6 wires from #2 wires go, or why they are not in a plug... =/

Also, how does the vehicle type power steering actually work? I heard that it turns off after 40mph, but what if you are drifting, going about 30mph, but you're in second gear spining the tires at 6,000rpm and the speedometer reads 60mph?
