I want to buy a RX-7 but which one?
I am somewhat interested in buying a RX-7. Could anyone tell me the year and model that they rx-7 comes in 2+2 seats? or 5seats if they have any.
I was also wondering if I could change a rx-7 2 seater into a 4 seater, is it possible?
And by the way this will be my beater car and i will need it to run for along time, I was wondering if this is a good car for a beater for a teen like me.
thanks

If this is your first car, I would definitely be looking the other way. Unless you have the time, the patience and most importantly THE MONEY to get one. These cars need maintenance checked often and the majority of the public doesn't know that.
To answer you first question, yes they came as a 2+2 option but the leg space for the rear seats was ridiculous. Basically only young kids fit in the back. It's also possible to swap in rear seats if it already doesn't have them, but again, no use for them.
If you actually searched for it you would know, luckily I'm in a good mood NoOB, so I'm helping you out before you really get flamed.

That is the first link at the top of this section. You see what I'm talking about now? So search before you ask another question that has been covered a million times over noOb.

Back seats in an FC are more useless than **** on a boar. Yes, it is possible to put rear seats in, so long as it is not the convertible model. Aaron Cake has an excellent site with information on purchasing an RX-7.

RX-7s can be great beaters if theyre not **** to start w/ and you maintain them half-assed. Chnage the coolant every couple of years, change the oil relgiously abt every 3k or so, and don't ever let the car overheat. Youll be fine other than them hot start flooding and such other FC problems They're good cars when they're stock
and back seats in an FC are totally useless to anyone over the age of 6 unless you're a tiny little japanese person.
Get the bins, theyre way more useful.

I would suggest looking for an RX-7 that has four-piston brakes, rear wiper, fast power steering rack, and power windows...
But don't go off and buy one in crappy condition just because you can't find another one.

This is true- take the time to find the right one and dont be impatient. Do your homework. Yes its very possible for teenagers to own Rx-7s as daily drivers. (Im an example) Just take care of it and do what everyone else said. All it takes is commitment (sp?), passion, research, and love- yes love. If you get an Rx-7 get one because you really want one- not just cause u saw one fly past you the other day and you thought it looked/sounded nice for a first car. Get one only if your gonna take care of it and wait till the right one comes along. And please dont be a jerk and crash it- have fun if you do buy one and good luck finding a nice one if you decide to get one.
