I want a better e-brake!
Hi,
I just started using my car on the track etc and i miss using the e-brake for making a good entrance in a turn.
How can i make the stock e-brake better? is hydraulic the only solution?

It's quite likely that your original e-brake cable has just stretched. The Factory Service and Haynes manuals have adjustment procedures. Also, it can be common for one of the caliper cables to break, thus leaving you with a parking brake on one side only.
why are you using the E-brake to track?
Drifters use the E-brake to drift, its helps switch weight of the car
you dont need the e brake to track use your front breaks more or get a Bias control vavle, E braking will cause you to go slower.

For whatever reason, the stock cable is a little long and has a decent amount of slack. especially an original cable after all these years, even after adjustment i find that it has a fair amount of play.
so, first inspect the cable to make sure it is not broken anywhere, and then try to adjust the screw that is on the handle.
if you really want to improve it, you will have to replace the cable with something a little shorter, and possibly some wider diameter cable that has less slack. stick with the stock OEM pads for the rears as many aftermarket/race pads do not have enough initial bite to lock up the wheels immediately.
