I want the best tranmission builder...

I thought I wanted to rebuild my tranny, but I have now decided that I want it built by a pro. I want it to be indurance race tough. I want the damn thing to purr like a kitten in 100,000 miles. Who knows of a place that can do top notch work? I have and extra tranny in the garage. so I will ship it anywhere.
I want to use parts from Mazda Motorsports.
I will need phone numbers.

I don't understand. A stock transmission will last 100,000. Endurance race-prep Mazda transmissions usually only have small improvements like removed synchros or 626 gears, depending on the race class regulations.

I have put in two trannys in my n/a. I am tired of the weak syncros, of grinding gears. all of it. I want a tranny that is stronger than the TII trannys in my n/a. but I don't want to trash my light weight fly and race clutch. I jsut want the tranny I have to handle the abuse a tranny should. these don't. So I want it beefed up.
does any one know of a really good tranny man?

I know a guy in concord ca that races 1st gens. He rebuilt my tranny at 250K When I got it back it chirped third gear. His work on the Tranny was GREAT! however I had to wait forever and a day!

PM me if you would like more information.

You're going to bash on the stock transmission and expect it to last 100k miles like it was rebuilt yesterday?&nbsp Boy, you need a reality check - this is next to impossible to do, especially with the stock transmission as a starting point.

If you're going to drop that kinda money, maybe you should look at the PBR transmission that Mazda Comp sells or maybe the HKS transmission 6-speed that Soul Assassion runs?

Ted is right. You should check into the Mazda Motorsports PBS MDR-1 race transmission, Part No MANA-17-000. It works great with the 3-4lb flywheel and 5.5" 2-disk clutch. If you are interested I can give you a contact number for one of my local racers who used it once, doesn't like it, and is selling it for $1,000 off the new price.

I do not need a reality check. I know these trannys are weak that is the problem. Mazda made the n/a tranny's threshold too close the the power the cars were making stock. They didn't build them to last. I have rebuilt one, and replaced aswell. The car as a whole has 150 K on it. so if you average how many times I have replaced the tranny it comes to every 50 K miles. These things should last longer than that off of the line. My car doesn't make gobs of power. it makes less than 250 easy. I do everything correctly ( usually) I double clutch when driving hard. I let it "slip" into gear when I am street driving. Then damn transmissions suck, and I want a guy than can make it better.
I have looked into the tranmission that Mazda Comp has. 15 grand is too much for a supid tranmission. I am looking to spend about $1000.
Every one knows these tranmission suck. mazda should hve done something about it in the series 5 but didn't. They cut corners, and we have to pay for it. I love these cars, but they have issues.
I just need to find a very quailified builder that can fixx the things Mazda skrewed up.
can anyone help?
