i wanna be a fc brotha

whats up you guys. im new on here and was wondering if it was hard to swap a turbo II engine/tranny etc into a na fc. is it just a straight swap, just "bolt in" so to speak? im wondering because i wanna buy this fc but its na and i want to swap it if i were to buy it.

thanks for the help, hopefully i will become a fc owner, my friend has one and i fell in love w/ his.

Not as simple as it sounds.

There is a search button on the top right of your screen. This subject is the MOST talked about on this forum. You will find more info than you can handle.

well actualy.. i think it is a stright "bolt in"

but to do it as a bolt in you need to swap

engine, all engine harneses sensors and such, ecu
tranny, driveshaft, diff, halfshafts, your also going to need to get a turbo hood so you can use the tmic unless you feel like shelling out for fmic, if you want the turbo gauges witht he stock not-so-acurate boost gauge i think its also a stright swap. There is a writeup somewhere that telles exactly how to do this

it takes a while to do all this, im actualy halfway though it. In the long run it would be cheaper to just by a TII, but in my case i like the idea of building my car

TAkes a long time and costs more than a TII... not worth it IMO.

thanks for the replies. i guess it would be better to get a turbo II instead. i thought it'd only be the engine, ecu, and tranny that would have to be swapped. thanks you guys, i was gonna buy this na for 700 and try to do the swap but i guess ill just wait for a tII
