I think my car has a problem...

Being that it is a slow "my RX-7 is broke" day, I thought that I would announce a slightly unnerving problem that I have been experiencing for the last week, MY RX-7 HAS NOT HAD ANYTHING GO WRONG WITH IT THAT NEEDED TO BE FIXED!!! I am not sure if this is a danger sign, or what, but immediate counciling is needed to help me sleep tonight.

P.S.

I've heard a couple of times of guys that had their cars running great & pulling harder than it ever did, then a week later the engine blows on 'em...

Hope I didn't jinx anybody (including myself)

Heh. I still have a laundry list of things to fix on mine. New brakes are the 1st item on the list. Trying to decide if I can afford pads & rotors, or if I should just get some cheap pads for now & use the existing rotors. I'm flatass broke after the engine rebuild & such. Took the time to upgrade & replace stuff (Clutch, pressure plate, cats with a presilencer, etc) - but it cost more than I had planned on spending.

And having to keep it below 4k RPM with the break in period is driving me NUTS! It works just fine for getting to and from work, but I really miss the power above 4k. I can't haul *** around corners in 1st or 2nd at 6k right now.

Oh, yea. 88 SE, single piston front brakes. Do I have "hard" or "soft" suspension? Checker's computer asks, and I only know that I need single piston pads.

Tell 'em it used to be hard, but gets softer with age, lol...

I think you would classify our base models as "soft", because the performance package should be "hard", I would think...
