Question wont start again, geez wtf

ok so i try to start her and get no sound what so ever, as i recall about a month ago it was the same case, it was a coolant leak from the water pump pissing all over the alt and battery causing me to replace the battery and starter as well as the water pump, started up just fine, but now a month later it wont start again, alreaddy assuming my alt is completely dead and i assume it cant be my battery or starter since i just replaced them, am i on the right track that its my alt? You're gonna have to give us some info:

1) battery voltage is...
2) alternator voltage is (or was)...
3) any fuses blown?
4) no sounds at all, huh? no relays clicking or nothing?

drive it to your local auto zone have them bring the machine out and test your battery and alternator just to be sure there both working properly also take a wrench to your battery terminals to make sure ther tight, other than that, thats really all you can do

good luck

All right, so when she doesn't start, nothing happens, i.e. no cranking, no sounds, nothing, right?

Then she starts up as if nothing ever happened?

dunno but my car 240sx has been doing pretty much close to the same thing. But today finally all the power died and i've concluded that the alternator finally died. But then again I'm just getting into the 7's so... I might be wrong

Geinn, it's a simple process of elimination, man...

If your starter ground was bad, you'd still have the chassis ground for some of the "bells & whistles"

If your chassis ground was bad, you'd still have starter.

This is assuming the battery cable isn't broke in half somewhere

If the positive starter connection was bad, you'd still have "bells & whistles".

If the ignition switch was bad, all 4 seperate circuits of the switch had to go at once (not likely).

Remove your battery terminals, and clean them with a stiff wire brush, get all the corrosion off of them, clean the battery posts also...

Then, if she still doesn't start, get back with me & tell me what an idiot I am for telling you to clean the terminals
