I think i found the problem

I just got under my car today for the first time and it wasnt to clean i did some but i really was under there to see where my leaks where comming from well i just relized that i put a quart of oil in the engine and i might of over filled it and i was wondering what would happen would it drip oil for a while until it to the right amount it seems it comming out of a hose of the engine i look at the dip stick and it seems like it came from the top and so i think that might be the problem. also a mechanic told me if i put to much oil in that it will come out and the thing i dont understand every time i check the dipstick it just a little over the F so please let me know what you guys think, thats making me leak some oil
