At least one thing you ought to do yourself is a compression test, before you spend much money...

As they said, do a compression test first... If I had to throw something out there, it sounds like you may have just nuked the turbo, I see it happen a lot on drag bikes, similiar actions/sounds/end result.

no, this kid that works at Advanced auto parts in the city of poughkeepsie claims he has a CYM FD, and that him and a buddy own a shop, but no matter how many times i ask he never has shown me his car, nor remembered the shops address. I know there are a few godd shops if your willing to go for a drive. Go to the nopistons.com forum and search for Judge Ito, he owns a shop, and is very good. Theres a place or 2 in long island, and you could always ship your motor to kevin as he is also very good

I'd rather have a rebuilt engine that I know is good to go rather than chancing it on a used engine. Not just that, the rebuilt will be in better shape, but w/e. Up to you.

Meh, I lost power on the highway last night, it felt weak, wanted to stall at anything below 2K...

Already went over all the obvious stuff...so if it's not a faulty injector, then the motor went byebye.

Part of me wants to turbo a LS1...:o
