i smell fish out of the exhaust plz help me

Hey ... my 88 rx7 gxl and i smell fish out of the exhaust when i redline sometimes or when i rev it ... and im used to smellnig gasoline out of the exhaust can u tell me cause of those two things and if its big or small ? im new to rotarys thought tat looked funny lol

the only thing that would kind of make sense is if your still running on the gas that the first guy put in and he was running 2cycle that smells really bad

well, if its more of a rotten egg smell, then your catalytic converters are going out! they let off this foul odor when they need 2 be replaced

lmao no .. i wish it was tat easy but ... i got it wrecked n now i can smell fish out of the exhaust n sometimes it wont start up n sometimes the idles all wrong

you shouldnt be running 93 in a na

just get rid of the cats you don't need them have a shop weld you in some pipes for like 30 bucks

Perhaps you are new to words altogether? Lean and rich are common used termonology by anything that combusts. Lean = too little gas, as in you are leaning the engine out...and rich = too much gas, as in you are teh overflowing with gas!

burn out cat is going to smell the same in rotary and piston.
