He just wrecked his car, why is everyone ripping his ***?

Funny too because the folks tearing into hook are also the people who never post anything helpful when someone has a question.

Because he was being a dipshit in the process.

Pay attention, fix the car, correctly, or sell it and buy a geo or something.

I had an FC in college and I made it work while making $8.00 an hour, it isn't rocket science.

Would you feel better if he didn't rear end someone (their car, their health).

Accidents happen, but most seem preventable.

I'm not ripping him, I may be sarcastic but the advice of getting the car looked at or fixing known issues which contributed to the initial accident before going over 100mph...that seems like solid advice to me.

I think he's gotten all the appropriate advice. Check the frame, fix the brakes, check the suspension and alignment, and don't go really fast in a car with unknown damage.

The only thing I can add is that the front bumper may be better of replacing. Between my father and my verts we've had people hit us in parking lots and damage the front bumper. It's happened to two different cars and the repairs didn't go well with either bumper. They were fixed and painted but within months the paint on both of them began to get spiderweb cracks that expanded and covered the whole damaged area.

Ok, OP, resident nice guy here.

Bad **** happens. Most importantly is you learn from it. Watch some Liveleak car crash videos.

Didn't read all posts, but in general: When someone in front of you swerves, be ready to do the same. Watch traffic way ahead, look beyond the car in front. When checking mirrors and blind spots before changing lanes, keep a good space in front. Watch for traffic speed changes, don't get caught looking to the side if traffic suddenly comes to a halt.

edit: all the car advice already covered.
