i open my door and my radio and lights turn out

i checked the room fuse. still good, i check the radio fuse still good. i close the door and open the door the radio comes back on. ill sit there for a moment and the radio and clock and everything shuts off. open the door it comes back on.
my question is why would opening the door cause this to happen? the fuses are tightly secured in the fuse box now. they were loose before now they are snug

Didn't somebody have this problem and traced it back to a bad door switch? Try a quick search...

Dirty switch contacts in your power window switches or a weak battery.

and common on many mid eighties cars, so don't knock the 7 for something that you have not maintained
