I Need Your Help Quick !!

My Neighbor Has A Turbo Ii, 87 Model, With Minor Dings And Scratches, And Is Planning On Getting Rid Of It. Just One Problem Though, The Motor Is Blown. He Took Apart The Top Half (manifold, Intercooler, Etc...) Apart And Is Sitting In The Trunk. The Interior Is Decent, But He Doesnt Know How Much To Give It To Me For Because He Has No Clue How Much They Run For, So I Turn To You Guys.........

My Question Is:

How Much Should I Tell Him?

Is It Worth It? (being And 87 And Not A 91 Turbo Ii.......horsepower Wise)

Will Rebuilding The Motor Cost More Than A Good Running One? (fc That Runs)

Will The Turbo Still Work Or Will It Need To Be Rebuilt Too?

1)T2 blown engine I'd say offer $1K.

2) I'd say it would probably be better to buy a running one but if you are going to mod it much then go cheap and buy this one.

3) You can get a good rebuild from rotaryressurection (Kevin Landers) he is on this forum and says most motors go for less than $2K. He also has lots of happy customers here too.

4)The shape of the engine does not generally have much to do with the turbo unless it was blowing nasty broken parts out the exhaust ports (which leads to the turbo).
