So I'm throwin my starter back on and I realize I don't know how this **** is supposed to be wired. If anyone can post a wiring diagram or point me in the direction, or ****, just some explanation would be great. Apreciate it.

The wires should just sort of fit in the right places... or they did on mine when I put it back on. There was really only one way for them to fit. Of course, I had pulled it off a few weeks earlier when starting the rebuild, and it didn't really change. I can get pictures tomorrow, if you need them (88 NA).

the small wire from the starter body itself should go on the right side solenoid terminal stud, the large black wire (battery positive) should go to the left side solenoid stud, and the large black/ yellow stripe should go under either the long lower starter bolt head, or nut, your choice...This is assuming you still have the OEM wiring on the car (if there's a large red wire instead of the black one, it will go on the left side solenoid stud)

Good god that helps a lot. Thank you.

Anyone know where the wire coming from the top of the tranny goes? It's just hangin' there and I don't know what it does.

That's probably your tranny ground. If you don't have another wire that goes from your transmission to your firewall, then thats it.
