I found some evil rusties are taking over my car...

I was driving along and I heard some rattling from under my car (i knew it was coming from the exhaust pipes) and preyed that it wasn't my last center mount on my exhaust...here is a shot of the first one to go:



That wasn't a big problem, I still had one mount...

Well...that changed today, I looked underneith investigating the sound and:

AH CRAP!!!

I need some help here so that I can figure out how I can jery rig this sucker until I can get it welded back together....arrg

For now I am going to unbolt it:




But i need a better solution on my drive to calgary arrg...

 

Sorry, I am unsure of your problem, is it your exhaust hangers have come/worn out or off? If so you can always use a thick wire and hang it where it should be...

If you don't mind going Ghetto Style, just use metal clothes hangers you can twist and cut them relatively easy....

 

Sure I can go Ghetto style for now...no problem

Once I have my new exhaust on there though....mmmmm

 

Try some coat hanger and cinch it back up for the weekend. It should hold up no problem.


edit: ok so sometimes it takes a while to finish a post when you're at work and someone beat me to the ghetto style fix.
