How are some of the cars on the forum wired so that they can have the headlights only pop up slightly and is there a wire you can unhook to stop it from popping them up when you trun the headlights on so that you have to use the cleaning switch or do they share a common wire?

 

The lights come on but they stay down until i flip a switch. If i flip the switch backoff, the stop. That is how you get them to come half way up or what not.

Here is how to do it.

1. Install a switch in your cockpit at your discretion.
2. Run both wires from the switch to the main fuse box on the left side of the engine compartment.
3. Locate the wire that goes to the retractor and cut it where you can splice it still
4. Splice the two wires from the switch to the one you just cut. The top wire from the switch to the fuse box and the lower wire to the remaining.
5. Op check it. Play around.

 

I altered the light switch so that when the cleaning switch is down light stay down on or off. when the cleaning switch is up lights go up when on down when off. Doesn't allow for the partial up look but didn't have to add any switches.

 

I just made a headlight conversion from sealbeam to changeable bulbs h4? The kit has a little opening inside to intall a little tiny bulb...connect it to your parking lights and u have jspec flash/pass lights on it looks sweet and only cost about $50.00 for the set with bulbs; But my question is how to make the factory fog lamps to turn on with out the headlight? I've seen a few FC3s with this mod. any instructions? Thanks...

 

I planned to wire the headlights so that I can turn them on and off without them activating the headlight motors unless I turn on the up/down switch on the cleaning button thingy (Gotta love my technical terms!)
